Hey guys,
Just wanted to start people talking about their own projects, what you've been up to, what you'd like to be up to, who you've been doing... cough. Seriously, tell us what you're working on so we can all keep our heads up as to what's going on with our own generation of filmmakers.
As an update on me, I've been spending some more time at cineworks at board meetings and orientations etc. and am very excited about the talk that's going around of a new analog film space that might be happening as soon as November... I'll keep you posted on that, but so you know they're talking about all kinds of cool workshops and artist residency things that you should keep an eye out for.
I also sent a letter of interest to the Vancouver Foundation for a grant for our launch party... If that goes through the selected filmmakers would recieve artist fees in exchange for having their work shown, so that would be cool.

Hey guys, so currently I am doing another cut of a post-grad short with Crazy8s, cleaning it up a bit so that it can fit the 10 mins or less window that works best for festivals. I have also recently applied to the Women in the Director's Chair program and will find out in November if I'm accepted. Now am currently writing and spending time learning about project financing.
One thing missed this year was applications for Kickstart and for the MPPIA/Whistler Film Fest Short Film Award. Those two programs are great options for emerging filmmakers hoping to get funding for shorts. Next year...
THINGS I AM DOING, SOME ABSURD SOME NOT AS MUCH:
- I just wrapped up Vision Division, a collaborative art performance presented by New Forms Festival;
- Just joined the Telepresence research group with Henry Daniel, Philippe Pasquier, and a bunch of other smart people;
- Just finished our application to signal and noise 2009 submitted (with jesssssica!)
- SUNDAYS: 5-10PM at the Purple Thistle. we got the keys yaaah! art making and idea talking;
- VJ/visual show with GR-8-2000 + Nu Sensae and another band in November something
- performative documentary collaboration with jessica
- string animations with Kaki
- grad school;
- watching a lot of episodes of the simpsons on the internet
